Below is some information about our Pre-Kindy room program. Our Pre-Kindy program is the same as that run in a school, with the added benefit of you receiving the childcare rebate. Please have a read and feel free to contact us or come in and speak with Rochelle of the Pre-Kindy educators if you have any questions.
School Readiness Program
Our Program is based on the EYLF or Early Years Learning Framework. We plan experiences for children both intentionally (through observing children’s play, discussions and dispositions) and spontaneously (through suggestions, conversations and ideas with children, families and Educators). We then record children’s responses by critically reflecting and evaluating using the learning outcomes set out by the EYLF.
Within this Program we plan experiences and activities specifically designed to assist children in their journey towards Kindergarten and Pre- Primary. The experiences we plan are based upon the EYLF and outcomes as mentioned above and in conjunction with information and research gathered via Early Childhood Teachers, Primary School Teachers and a Primary School Principal.
Some of the experiences and activities that are focused on within our School Readiness Program are:
Experiences are introduced keeping individual children’s capabilities in mind and are done so in a warm, caring, patient and encouraging environment.
Since introducing our School Readiness Program the feedback from families has been positive and encouraging. Thank you to those who have shared their stories with us.

On the 9th of September we ran our annual family night, inviting parents, extend family and the wider community to come along to our centre and have at our amazing outdoor areas. This also gave the educators time to mingle with parents who may sometimes be very busy on arrival and/or drop-off. With the fine weather, we were able to use our fire pit to roast marshmallows as everybody sat around introducing themselves to and talking with each other. Thank you to everybody who came down, it was a successful evening and we were glad to get to meet you all.
Our wetlands area is coming along very nicely, thanks to the hard work of our staff and the wider community. We would like to give a special thank-you to Bunnings, who have been very generous in donating many of the required resources. As a small community centre, we would not have been able to undertake this project without them.
As you can see in the photos above, the fencing has been put in, as well as the water tank and creek bed. The next step will be landscaping, planting the shrubbery and laying down a path. If anyone feels they have knowledge or expertise in this area and would like to volunteer their time (or anything else), please feel free to contact the centre or talk to Rochelle or Danni at the centre, we would love to hear from you!
